It’s time we talk about SEO!

 

While most small businesses struggle to wrap their heads around getting started with SEO, most think of it as “expensive” and “complicated.” That Marketing Lady takes you through a step-by-step guide for all things you need to know before entering the world of SEO! (And its, not the typical technical article you will find in your google search) Firstly, SEO is nothing but increasing your ranking in Google searches. As we all know, page 2 of Google is an unknown person, i.e., When you search for anything on google, you won’t go beyond the first page. And that is exactly why we need to make sure that your website ranks on page 1. 

 

So, it’s pretty evident that you cannot practice SEO without having a website.

However, I strongly recommend using the right mix of platforms for different aspects of it. Finding the right platform to get started can get tricky, so I have listed my personal favorite FREE platforms to get you started!

  

Platform – GOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE

Key Use for SEO – Measuring the performance of your site on Google

The best way to make sure your content is picked up by Google correctly is by using Google Search Console.

Google Search Console is a free service offered by Google that helps you maintain and monitor your site’s presence in Google Search Results. It is more like a search performance reporting tool and determines the performance of your site on Google.

Link and verify your website to Google Search Console. Use the Google URL inspection tool in the search console to make sure your pages are indexed correctly and seen in search results.

Platform – GOOGLE ANALYTICS

Key Use for SEO- Analyzing website data

 Google Analytics is a free tool where you can analyze data for your business in one place to make smarter decisions. It structures your performance and creates filtered perspectives for the recorded data.

Create or login to your google analytics account and set up a property (refers to your website/app) in your analytics account. Post that set up a reporting view in your property to create filtered perspectives for your data.

Platform- Ubersuggest

Key Use for SEO- Keyword Analysis

 Ubersuggest allows you to get an insight into the strategies working for others in your market so you can adopt them, improve them, and gain an edge. It is an element that provides you a domain overview and competitor analysis.

Add your first project on the ubersuggest dashboard in your account. after putting in the URL of your website, track keywords, performances, competitor analysis, and enhance position tracking from ubersuggest and rank up through innovative SEO techniques.
